Guided tour of Joël Denot's exhibition at Modesti Perdriolle

Joël Denot, exhausted by the ever-growing proliferation of images conveyed by new media, reconnects with the beginnings of the history of photography, its long exposure times, and the accidents they produce. Joël Denot does not hesitate to mention the failed photographs when discussing his work—those moments when the camera was accidentally opened, allowing light to veil the film and reveal unexpected colors in the print. For over twenty years, Joël Denot has worked with the Camera Obscura, learning to master the accidents caused by the meeting of light and the sensitive surface.

A meeting about these accidents with Hervé Perdriolle on Saturday, February 22 at 3 PM.

Guided visit of our collection with a special focus on the photographic works included in the current exhibition

Galila’s POC is a private art collection located in the Forest commune of Brussels, a stone’s throw from Wiels Contemporary Art Center and Fondation A. Stiching. The often surprising collection unfolds like a contemporary” cabinet de curiosities” with its 600 artworks assembled in an organic and intuitive layout. The current and evolutive exhibition Overdose samples the collection’s themes, marked by boundless passion, vitality, and a cosmopolitan openness.

During the Photo Brussels Festival, we are delighted to propose a guided visit of our collection with a special focus on the photographic works included in our current exhibition.

The visit will take place during the Opening Weekend of the PBF on Saturday 25.01 (14:00am).
Reservation is mandatory, through the following link : Tickets Reservation
