Born in 1969, Uzès, France. Lives and works in Paris.
Marie Moroni, who has been a professional set designer and visual artist for over 15 years, has always worked with images. In 2015, she decided to devote herself entirely to photography.
Her first photographic works focus on the people and things that she encounters in her daily life, stolen moments, ‘insignificant trifles’.
After a trip to Rwanda, the need to meet humans and intimacy drove her to concentrate on portraiture... and IBABA came into being. This series has been shown in many festivals in 2016 and 2017. Marie Moroni continues today to practise as a photographic auteur and reporter.
