EN « I met the most amazing women when I was in Tehran. as a foreigner, I was able to be their voice, a channel to translate their feelings into images. with the windows of my Tehran apartment covered with tinfoil, we were safe to let creativity flow. the women threw their brightly coloured headscarf in the air and as it inescapably floated back to them, I captured their act of defiance. » Marinka Masséus

FR «J’ai rencontré les femmes les plus extraordinaires lorsque j’étais à Téhéran. En tant qu’étrangère, j’ai pu être leur voix, un canal pour traduire leurs sentiments en images. Les fenêtres de mon appartement de Téhéran étant recouvertes de papier d’aluminium, nous pouvions laisser libre cours à notre créativité. Les femmes ont jeté en l’air leur foulard aux couleurs vives et, alors qu’il revenait inéluctablement vers elles, j’ai capturé leur acte de défi». Marinka Masséus

NL "Ik heb de meest buitengewone vrouwen ontmoet toen ik in Teheran was. Als buitenstaander kon ik hun stem zijn, een kanaal om hun gevoelens in beelden te vertalen. Aangezien de ramen van mijn appartement in Teheran bedekt waren met aluminiumfolie, konden we onze creativiteit de vrije loop laten. De vrouwen gooiden hun felgekleurde hoofddoek in de lucht, en terwijl het onvermijdelijk naar hen terugkwam, legde ik hun daad van uitdaging vast."
