EN The upcoming exhibition "Borrowed Spaces" initiates a dialogue between the practices of François Génot (1981, Fr) and Elise Guillaume (1996, Be). Both are linked by an experimental approach situated in which the living is simultaneously the subject, co-author, and material of creation. Elise Guillaume and François Génot develop a demanding and coherent art, in line with the concerns they carry. At a time when our perception of nature, as an external and exploitable entity, has gradually dimmed our sensitivity to the subtleties of living things, the two artists strive to restore this attention by giving full space to the neglected, maltreated margins.

FR La prochaine exposition «Lieux Empruntés» ouvre un dialogue entre les pratiques de François Génot (1981, Fr) et d’Elise Guillaume (1996, Be). Tous deux sont liés par une démarche expérimentale et située dans laquelle le vivant est à la fois sujet, co-auteur, et matière de la création. Elise Guillaume et François Génot développent un art exigeant et cohérent, en accord avec les préoccupations qu’ils portent. À l’heure où notre perception de la nature, en tant qu’entité externe et exploitable, a progressivement éteint notre sensibilité aux subtilités du vivant, les deux artistes œuvrent à restaurer cette attention en accordant toute la place aux espaces en marge, malmenés, ignorés.

NL De volgende tentoonstelling "Geleende Plekken" opent een dialoog tussen de praktijken van François Génot (1981, Fr) en Elise Guillaume (1996, Be). Beiden worden verbonden door een experimentele benadering die is gelegen waarbij het leven zowel onderwerp, medeauteur als materiaal van creatie is. Elise Guillaume en François Génot ontwikkelen een veeleisende en samenhangende kunst, in overeenstemming met de zorgen die ze koesteren. In een tijd waarin onze perceptie van de natuur, als een externe en exploitabele entiteit, geleidelijk onze gevoeligheid voor de subtiliteiten van het leven heeft uitgedoofd, streven de twee kunstenaars ernaar om deze aandacht te herstellen door ruimte te geven aan randgebieden, mishandeld en genegeerd.
